iRobbery thwarted, trio arrested after firing on pursuer.
Smashing through the front door of the Scottsdale Quarter Apple Store, three robbers made off with approximately $75,000 in MacBook Airs, iPads and iPods, but didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the haul for long. A passing taxi driver saw the break-in, and followed the two men and a woman as they fled along Scottsdale Road at 2am on the morning of January 2nd.
Not wanting to give up their ill-gotten iGoods, the trio began firing on the taxi from the getaway car. No injuries were reported, but Scottsdale Police were able to use information from the cabbie and security camera data to identify the suspects' vehicle and eventually locate and arrest them.
Three Mesa residents - James Combs (pictured above), Daniella Sierra (pictured above) and a 17-year-old - were booked on charges that included various burglary and weapons violations.
