The 15 year old girl faces second degree murder and burglary charges.

PHOENIX (AP) _ A 15-year-old girl accused of fatally shooting another teenager in Phoenix is being charged as an adult in the case.

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office made the announcement Thursday.

Authorities say she faces second-degree murder and first-degree burglary charges.

They say 17-year-old Raymond Berryman died Tuesday after police found him lying unresponsive in front of the girl's home in Phoenix.

The girl told police that she, Berryman and a 16-year-old boy burglarized a home in the neighborhood earlier that day.

The teens allegedly stole a shotgun, a .45-caliber handgun and a revolver.

Authorities say the three teens were playing with the guns later. The girl allegedly pointed a handgun at Berryman and pulled the trigger, believing it wasn't loaded.

Berryman was shot in the chest and died at a hospital.
