Bill would prohibit transgenders from using public restrooms, showers, and dressing rooms.
Recently, the City of Phoenix passed an ordinance prohibiting gender identity discrimination in public places. The ordinance includes a clause allowing these individuals to use the restroom of their choice.
Now, State Representative John Kavanaugh of Fountain Hills introduces a bill that would trump the so-called "bathroom bill." Kavanaugh's bill would prohibit transgenders, originally born as men, from using female public restrooms, showers, and dressing rooms. The same would hold true for transgenders originally born as men. Kavanaugh says he has enough votes to get the bill passed.
