Children found a canister full of grenades
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. - Some explosives were found buried near Mile Post 208 and the Beeline Highway.
Officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff's office say on Sunday, children who were shooting in the area came across a canister with ammunition.
When the children returned to the area on Monday, they dug around the canister to find what appeared to be grenades. That's when they reported their findings to authorities.
According to MCSO, there may be additional piles of explosives in the area.
