All lanes of eastbound I-10, except the HOV and left lane, are open at the Broadway Curve and all westbound lanes are open except the HOV, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Both directions of the I-10 at the Broadway Curve were closed after a semi truck caught fire on Thursday morning.

Four cars and a semi were involved in multiple collisions.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Carrick Cook says a semi driver died after he lost control of the truck and crashed into a median wall. A car then rear ended the semi and an eruption of flames ensued.

The semi driver's identity hasn't been released.

The collision sent debris into the westbound lanes of the I-10, causing two other crashes. Those involved had minor injuries.

Eastbound traffic is encouraged to take US 60 or Loop 202 Santan Freeway to Loop 101, as traffic is slowly returning back to normal.

Crews worked for several hours cleaning up the mess leftover from the multiple collisions.
