Arizona Humane Society's Low Cost and Free Spay/Neuter Clinic for Cats and Dogs is hitting the road.
You want to be responsible and spay or neuter your pet...but it's expensive and the vet is out of the way...Arizona Humane Society to the rescue with their mobile clinic.
At least once a month it rolls to various parts of town offering free or very low cost spays and neuters.
Bretta Nelson of Humane Society says that often, there's a low fee, but this week in Gilbert and next week in Avondale, it's free. She says the free or low cost services are thanks to the Arizona Pet Friendly License Plate program. Those plates cost $25.00 and $17.00 goes to funding spays and neuters.
Check in at the mobile clinic is around 6:00AM, but Bretta says some pet parents begin lining up at 1:00, 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning because limited spaces are on a first come, first served basis. You pick up your cat or dog later in the day.
