Comes down to money
The deal between the Phoenix Coyotes and prospective owner Greg Jamison and the city of Glendale in dead.
The reason the deal is unlikely to go through comes down to money. A source close to the situation says Jamison either does not have enough cash or investors to meet the deadline for the city's lease agreement.
Jamison agreed to a 20-year, $324 million lease deal that was reworked last November. New Glendale mayor Jerry Weiers stated he will not extend the deadline for the deal.
That means Jamison would more than likely have to negotiate a new agreement with the city if he still wants the team.
