The Military Families Support Group meets once a week to offer support for those serving in all branches of the military.
Viana Bruce started the group in January 2003 when her son was deployed to Iraq with the Marine Corps. The group is not affiliated with a religious or political organization.
The group has also sent $50,000 care packages to troops overseas. They are still in need of travel size items to send, or you can donate here.
Wednesday night from 5pm to 7pm the group will meet at Sweet Tomatoes at 10046 N. 26th Drive for a 10th anniversary packing party. They will also be honoring and remembering Gold Star families and their sacrifice for all.
