Republicans are trying to pass a bill that would prevent federal laws from being enforced in our state.
House Bill 2291 would make it a felony for a federal employee or official to enforce federal laws or regulations on firearms, ammunition, and accessories owned or manufactured within the state.
The legislation would also prevent any new federal laws restricting semi-automatic weapons and magazines from being enforced within Arizona.
Arizona is just one of several states considering this type of legislation.
