9 arrests made at Lam's Asian/International Food market
PHOENIX - Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies have made 9 arrests after serving a search warrant on Lam's Asian/International Food market in west Phoenix.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his office received a tip several months ago indicating a number of employees may have gained employment unlawfully.
Arpaio's office identified 21 suspects who were likely utilizing false identification. Only 9 of the suspected employees were at the store at the time of the raid, and they were taken into custody.
Deputies are still looking for the others.
The investigation is ongoing.
