Fiesta Bowl Traffic and Parking Tips

If you're heading to the Fiesta Bowl Thursday night at University of Phoenix Stadium, expect heavy traffic on the Loop 101 from Northern Avenue to Camelback Road in the afternoon and early evening. Heavy traffic is also predicted on the surface streets in and around Glendale's Sports and Entertainment District.

The game starts at 6 p.m. and parking lots open at 12:30 p.m. If you don't already have a parking pass, pay-at-the-gate parking is offered at the Renaissance Hotel Parking Garage (southeast corner of Americana and Coyotes), Westgate City Center lots (access from Glendale Avenue, heading south on 93rd or 95th avenues) and Tanger Outlet lots (access from Glendale Avenue, heading south on 95th Avenue). There are also a limited number of pay-at-the-gate spaces for sale by the Fiesta Bowl in the Jobing.com Arena lots (access from Glendale Avenue and 95th or 93rd Avenue). Additionally, overflow parking will be available at the Brown Lot.

Traffic restrictions and other information:

-- Maryland Avenue between 93rd Avenue and 95th Avenue will be closed to all traffic except pedestrians and limited shuttle operations.

-- 95th Avenue in front of the stadium will be closed to all traffic except pedestrians.

-- The center turn lane on 91st Avenue between Camelback Road and the stadium operates as a reversible lane. It carries inbound traffic before the game and outbound traffic following the game.

-- The Stadium Access Road (6250 N) carries three lanes into the parking lots before the game and three lanes out of the parking lots following the game.

-- Maryland Avenue between 95th Avenue and 99th Avenue carries four lanes outbound following the game.
