New Evidence That May Be Connected To Fast and Furious Case

CBS News says a pistol belonging to an ATF manager was recovered during a deadly gunfight in Mexico.

The news agency says the gun battle took place between the Sinaloa Drug Cartel and the Mexican Military last November. 

CBS is reporting an investigation by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa raises questions about where ATF manager George Gillett purchased his weapon. 

The news organization says Grassley's probe indicates that Gillett lied on his purchase form for the weapon by giving a false home address.  The felony is punishable by up to five years behind bars.

A Mexican beauty queen and four others were killed during that November shoot out.
