A man is dead, after a domestic dispute between a husband and wife.
PHOENIX - Police are investigating a stabbing near 69th Avenue and Thomas Road, just east of G. Frank Davidson Elementary School.
Authorities say this all began as a domestic dispute between a husband and wife.
A 911 call was placed around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, the male and female had both suffered stab wounds.
Phoenix Fire Dept. Captain Jonathan Jacobs says the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the female was transported to an area trauma center.
The wife told officers her husband was the attacker, but that statement remains under investigation.
Investigators are talking to witnesses at the scene.
