Phoenix Police say an 11-year-old being treated for leukemia was taken from Phoenix Children's Hospital Wednesday night by her own mother.
Phoenix Police say Emily was being treated at Phoenix Children's Hospital for leukemia. During this treatment, the 11-year-old Hispanic girl had her arm amputated because of infection and had a chest catheter put into her heart.
For unknown reasons, Wednesday night the child's mother removed the catheter, changed the girls clothing and walked her out of the hospital.
Hospital staff say if the catheter is not medically removed it could become infected and cause death.
Phoenix Police are asking anyone with information to contact them. The girl and her family could be in a Black Ford Van. The pictures below show the girl at the Hospital.
