Immigrant rights groups want a judge to declare Brewer's policy unconstitutional.

(Phoenix, AZ)  --  Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is now facing a lawsuit over her move to deny driver's licenses for young immigrants who should be allowed to have them under President Obama's new anti-deportation policy.  Immigrant rights groups want a judge to declare Brewer's policy unconstitutional.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials have told the states they can determine whether or not to give driver's licenses or extend benefits to immigrants who are granted deferred status under Obama's new plan for young immigrants.  Brewer has said her order adheres to state laws that deny public benefits to illegal immigrants.  The immigrant groups say the driver's licenses need to be issued to help those young immigrants be able to have an established ID that can allow them to get a job, among other issues.
