The child sustained minor injuries

An infant survived a two-story fall out of an apartment window.

"The baby was in the bedroom of the apartment, climbed up on something and leaned against a screen window," Officer James Holmes with Phoenix Police said. "Evidentally, the screen gave way and the baby fell."

Holmes said fortunately children at that age can bounce back from almost anything. The child did not appear to have any major injuries.

Holmes warned parents to always keep an eye on their children.

"This is just a reminder to the parents out there that two-year-olds are the fastest animals on the planet and we just really have to keep an eye on them," Holmes said.

The child was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
