John Morken was found with bottle of prescription pills

A man is charged with 2nd degree murder after a bad crash on I-10.

Police say John Morken was driving fast on I-10 west of Tonopah when he crashed into an SUV carrying a family of six on Friday.

The SUV flipped, causing a 14-year-old to be killed and two other children seriously injured.

Police found a bottle of prescription pills in Morken's car.  The prescription was filled for 25 pills the day of the crash and 11 were found remaining in the bottle.
