Supermarket customers are being told testing on the weight of turkeys checks out.
The testing was done to ensure that consumers would not be short changed on purchased turkeys this season.
The agency overseeing the testing says stores must charge customers for the weight of the turkey and can't include plastic leg bands, giblet bags, packaging and other items in the weight.
