PHOENIX - A delivery truck struck and killed a woman who was walking across the freeway on I-10 and Deck Park Tunnel Thursday morning.
According to Arizona Department of Transportation, all lanes on the westbound I-10 at 7th Street are open, including the 7th Street exit.
No one knows why the woman was crossing the freeway from the south side to the north side.
The driver of the truck said by the time he saw the woman, there was a semi truck behind him and he just couldn't stop fast enough.
