Glendale Leaders Caught Taking Money From City Cookie Jar

An internal audit shows $6 million was improperly taken from a city trust fund over a three year period.

Administrators are being blamed for improperly transferring the funds.  They were used to cover expenses.

The audit shows the account dropped from about $8 million in July 2010 to less than $3 million in June.  

The trust fund is essentially a self-insurance policy to cover personal injury or property damage liabilities.
