A pipe bomb was identified as the cause of the explosion that occurred outside of a home in Peoria early Wednesday morning.

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Police are searching for a suspect seen in a video from a home surveillance system in the Peoria neighborhood where the bomb exploded.

The suspect appears to be a light skinned male in his 30's or 40's, with baldness near the crown of his head, wearing lighter color pants and a short sleeve shirt.

The vehicle used by the suspect may be a late 90's Chevy Suburban type sport utility vehicle.

ATF is offering a $5,000 reward for information on the suspect.

A pipe bomb was identified as the cause of the explosion that occurred outside of a home in Peoria early Wednesday morning.

The bomb was made of two pipe bombs -- one bomb went off about 1 a.m. The force of that bomb pushed the second bomb that didn't detonate through the length of a neighbor's house and out the wall. That particular home is for sale and no one lives there.

The explosion sent shrapnel through a neighbors wall and damaged homeowners' homes and cars. Tires on both cars parked in the driveway were destroyed.

Neighbors told FOX 10 that similar explosions have happened in the neighborhood, near 67th Avenue and Olive Avenue, twice before.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,  Firearms and Explosives became involved after the same thing happened in July. ATF seems to think the people in this neighborhood are being targeted.

The people who live in the home were sleeping inside when it happened and were not hurt.

"It certainly could have killed or maimed somebody," said ATF's Tom Mangan. "We're working with the homeowners, why they're being targeted, frankly we have more questions than answers."

The homeowners had surveillance cameras outside the home. The ATF hasn't said what, if anything, the cameras captured.

"The only thing we are confident of is the bomber that detonated the devices today is the same individual who detonated the previous two."

The homeowner works for the Deer Valley School District.
