Some say churches are being discriminated against
A controversial issue over church signs in Gilbert is now in the hands of the court.
The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is trying to determine whether to allow churches to erect signs at their facilities. Their attorneys say their clients are being discriminated against due to religious messages. They are calling that a violation of free speech.
Lawyers say they are confident the court will rule in their favor. If the decision handed down does not go their way, they may consider appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court.
