Suspect met victim on social media web site

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Glendale police arrested a man for sexually assaulting a woman he met on a social media web site.

Officers say 49-year-old David Wright took the victim on a date after meeting online.

According to the police report, when Wright arrived for the second date, the victim allowed him into her home for a glass of water, at which time the assault occurred.

The victim reported the attack immediately and detectives were able identify Wright as the suspect.

Investigators say Wright was convicted of a previous sexual assault over 20 years ago in Florida that involved a serious sexually transmitted disease.

Police believe there may be more victims in this case and they're asking anyone with information on unreported crimes involving Wright to come forward.

Authorities did not release the name of the social media site Wright used.
