Martin Prado coming to Arizona
Justin Upton is on the move. The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded the slugging outfielder to the Atlanta Braves in a seven-player deal that brings infielder Martin Prado to the desert.
Atlanta also gets third baseman Chris Johnson, while pitchers Randall Delgado and Zeke Spruill and infielders Nick Ahmed and Brandon Drury all head to Arizona.
The 25-year-old Upton is united with brother B.J., who signed with the Braves as a free-agent this offseason. Justin Upton hit .280 with 17 home runs and 67 RBI last year while playing through a thumb injury.
The 29-year-old Prado batted .301 with 10 home runs and 70 RBI last season. He's expected to play third base for the D'backs.
