Michael Crane accused of murdering Paradise Valley couple and a Phoenix man
A man accused of killing a Paradise Valley couple and a Phoenix man was deemed unfit to represent himself by a Maricopa County judge.
Michael Crane, 32, told Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Warren Granville on Monday that he planned to represent himself no matter what the judge decided.
Crane is accused of murdering Glenna and Lawrence Shapiro in their home in January and setting their home on fire. He is also accused of killing Bruce Gaudet, a cigar shop owner.
