We’ve been champing at the bit for this day to arrive for 4 years. And when I say “we”, I mean the very large swath of Americans who have been displeased with the election of President Obama since the moment it happened. The group of people who were unhappy from the get-go have now been joined by others who were skeptical from the outset, and then eventually by people who were optimistic, and even those who were downright excited. This president has disappointed people across the political spectrum. And today we all finally get our chance to uninstall him.
I give you Governor Romney’s own internal polling this morning, which shows him to be up one in OH, two in IA, three in NH, and tied in PA and WI. You say, those are the candidate’s own numbers, but I would tell you that he needs solid numbers to make effective decisions, so these are reasonably accurate, and they bode well for him.
Numerous pundits have spelled out numerous paths by which Governor Romney can get to the magical 270 electoral votes necessary for election. And based on the polls we’re seeing, and the interpretation of these numbers by pundits who are far smarter than us, we truly do believe that Mitt will be elected president this evening. He’s not going to win by a large margin, in my humble opinion, but he will win nevertheless. This quite obviously bodes poorly for the president and renders him beatable by a Ham Sandwich.
