Polls – Polls – Polls!  Now that we’re within a month of the 2012 election, we’re going to be bombarded with an avalanche of poll information every single day, so gird your loins and be prepared.  I believe that it’s incumbent upon me to warn you that polls will be the primary topic of the Ham Sandwich until November 6th, and today is no exception.

A new IBD/TIPP poll now has Romney up five over Obama, 49/44.  This poll of likely voters was taken after the debate, and it exhibits a D/R/I weighting model of 39/31/30.  Yes – you heard me right – Romney is up five points in a poll weighted D+8.  Wow.

Another poll commissioned by the Washington Examiner shows that among private doctors – that is, those not affiliated with a health care organization – Romney leads the president 58/28.  Guess what – this is all about Obamacare.  And while the poll doesn’t directly tell us anything about what’s likely to happen at the ballot box on November 6th, it hints strongly at deep displeasure with Obamacare among doctors, and I think I trust them more than anyone else to have a handle on what we need in terms of healthcare.

Romney up 5 in a D+8 poll, and up 30 points in a poll of doctors . . . both very strong indicators that President Obama is in even deeper trouble than we thought he was.  And strong indicators that he is at grave risk of being beaten by a Ham Sandwich.

Building More Momentum Now . . .
