How self-absorbed do you need to be to take a picture of yourself and two buddies at a funeral for one of the most-respected leaders of the modern era?
Unlike other times when Obama inserted himself into the commemoration of other people (or the biographies of other Presidents) this latest example of our President's fascination with getting a lot of traction in social media, with mentions from ABC News, Politico and Mashable.
The world is waking up to the fact we have a petulant man-child as President. Once the leaders of North Korea, Iran and Russia realize this, we're in big trouble.
“All Barack Obama Statements Come With an Expiration Date. All Of Them.” - Jim Geraghty
Fresh of the debacle of seeing his promise of “If you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan” turn into a punchline for late-night comedians, President Obama has had to walk back yet another of his statements, namely, that he never met his illegal alien uncle while he was living in the Boston area.
President Obama acknowledged on Thursday that he lived with his Kenyan uncle for a brief period in the 1980s while preparing to attend Harvard Law School, contradicting a statement more than a year ago that the White House had no record of the two ever meeting.
Their relationship came into question on Tuesday at the deportation hearing of his uncle, Onyango Obama, in Boston immigration court. His uncle had lived in the United States illegally since the 1970s and revealed in testimony for the first time that his famous nephew had stayed at his Cambridge apartment for about three weeks. At the time, Onyango Obama was here illegally and fighting deportation.
Which has me treading the same intellectual path that Roger L. Simon is walking down: What if it it’s all true?
Nevertheless, in the wake of the serial lies about Obamacare, Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious, media surveillance, the NSA, Syria, Iran, etc., etc., I’m now prepared to believe many things of which I might initially have been at least somewhat skeptical.
To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me.
Me too. I am not a “Birther”, I don’t really think as some do that Obama was born outside of the United States, but what if it’s true? At this point, it’s much easier to tally up the things that Obama HAS lied about than what he hasn’t.
What if it’s all true?
People don’t just wake up one day and decide to start lying to other people: The first lies we tell are to ourselves. In Obama’s mind, these aren’t falsehoods because they’re what he believes himself to be true, regarding of the reality of the fact. He never told the press about his stint with Uncle Omar because, as he said himself, he actually believes his own bull****. Obama has inserted himself into the official commemorations of JFK’s assassination to Rosa Parks’ historic protest and the official biographies of past Presidents. He truly believes he can do any job in his administration better than the people he hires to do the job (except for coding the Obamacare website, of course).
Can a man who believes such things be honest with himself and where he came from?
Of course not. So now the question isn’t if Obama’s biography and background is fraudulent, it’s how much and how often.
Occam’s razor should take care of that one.
Then move onto the other bits and pieces of his past, using David Maraniss’s excellent book as a guideline, and swing into his academic record (or lack thereof) by asking his classmates what he was like as a student.
So far, the person telling the story of Obama himself. We know he can’t tell a story, ANY story without making something up. It’s time to start finding out the truth behind all of these lies.
You morons. You just don't understand how amazingly awesome and cool Obama is. Your brains just aren't wired for greatness. He is the lightbringer, the Kwisatz Haderach, the one who will bring balance to the Force. You can't limit a man who plays at the same level as LeBron James, who can do every job better than the people he hires to do their job.
As I watch President Obama, whose approval rating has dipped to 37 percent in CBS News polling — the lowest ever for him — during the troubled rollout of his health-care reform. Many of Obama’s fellow Democrats have distanced themselves from the reform and from the president. Even former president Bill Clinton has said that Americans should be allowed to keep the health insurance they have.
Democratic lawmakers would worry about provoking the wrath of a president who could be reelected. Thanks to term limits, though, they’ve got little to fear.
Nor does Obama have to fear the voters, which might be the scariest problem of all. If he chooses, he could simply ignore their will. And if the people wanted him to serve another term, why shouldn’t they be allowed to award him one?
It’s time to put that power back where it belongs. When Ronald Reagan was serving his second term, some Republicans briefly floated the idea of removing term limits so he could run again. The effort went nowhere, but it was right on principle. Barack Obama should be allowed to stand for re election just as citizens should be allowed to vote for — or against — him. Anything less diminishes our leaders and ourselves.
There's still some flickerings of freedom left in America that Obama and his cronies have yet to stamp out. They need that third term (and fourth term, and fifth term) to finish the job they started.
Because Hugo Chavez would have wanted it that way.
