Mike is a strong believer in giving back to the community and volunteers his time for several organizations including the Best Buddies program at Marcos de Niza High School; Project We Remember We Remember that supports Military Families; Packages From Home that is dedicated to US servicemen and women overseas; and Patriot Day Celebration that benefits Fighter Country Foundation.
Mike is the president of Broomhead Electric, LLC. He still maintains his contractor�s license in Arizona.
In addition to radio, Mike is a biker and gun enthusiast. Before radio, Mike was a winning bull rider and rodeo announcer. Mike is married to wife Elaine, they have 2 daughters.

Will The Department Of Education Investigate Queen Creek's Redneck Day?
Here Is A Statement From Rev. Jarrett Maupin:
Rev. Jarrett Maupin's letter to Secretary of Education Arne Duncan initiated the investigation, the Secretary has forwarded the complaint to the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights for review to determine whether or not the civil rights of the students and community were violated. "It is refreshing to know that the federal government is being proactive in the fight to drive out prejudice, practiced in ignorance or with intent, from our public institutions. Public schools should be the last place where minorities or other vulnerable populations have to live in fear or in the shadow of bigotry," the Reverend said. Maupin and others will hold public hearings in the coming weeks to gather formal written complaints regarding the incident from the people victimized.
