Barack Obama, lauded by many as the man for the new generation, however, the disturbing information surrounding his pastor, Dr. Jeremiah Wright is quite concerning.  Dr. Wright MAY be justified in his opinions.  This is a man that probably lived through and experienced much discrimination.  When you think about it, he lived through the peace, love and drugs era, the Vietnam War, the bus boycott, race specific drinking fountains, and all the hate that came along with the Civil Rights movement. 

However, Barack Hussein Obama, is only a couple of years older than I am, and I am positive he has never had to experience any of those things.  In fact, if you check out Barack's childhood, he attended one of the  most prestigious schools in the state of Hawaii.  He attended and graduated from the most recognized uiversities in the country.  He served the constituency in one of the largest cities in the country.  He worked and made lots of money as an attorney in that same city, and today is a contender for the highest post available in any country.  Yet, he followed a man who believes, we, Black people, are still suffering through the same trials he did 50 years ago.

I am not bothered by the fact that he attends an all Black church, but I am confused as to why he would follow a pastor that is spewing such hate and racism at a time when Black people can do and be whatever they want to be!  Doors are not being slammed in our faces because of our color, that's against the law now.  We cannot be refused service at any store, restaurant or other public place because of our color, it is against the law.  Our children are allowed to attend the finest schools, receive the highest education, and achieve anything that their hearts desire.  Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright thinks he is offering a service to his congregation, but most of his congregation never lived through and will never experience what he did, so why try to keep the hate alive?  This man is probably making boat loads of  money off of his congregants.  While he has infuriated many, there are just as many curiousity seekers just waiting for the opportunity to say they experienced his sermons.  The publicity he has received could not have been bought for any price.  While people will strongly disagree with his views, many will visit his church to see him in action.

So, Barack, you have no excuse for being a member of this congregation if you are going to represent all the people in this country.  You have never suffered the injustices of the Civil Rights Movement, in fact, it is the complete opposite.  Barack, you and I are products of what the Civil Rights Movement did for this country.  It gives us the opportunity to live in any neighborhood in this country, to work anywhere we are qualified for in this country, to eat, drink and be merry, anywhere in this country. 

Barack Obama will never be able to lead this country into the future, because he has allowed the ghosts of the past,  which haunt Dr. Wright, to invade his campaign.

Well, McCain will be the nominee for president from the Republican party and fortunately, we won't have to watch this party "eat each other" the way the Democrats are.  While John McCain is not my first choice, I have been informed from numerous Republicans, especially one in particular, that all Republicans need to jump on the "Straight Talk Express".  While this is probably true, it is alot of fun to watch the Democratic candidates scurry around like cockeroaches in the dark trying to avoid the light.  Race, Gender, Race, Gender, more Race and more gender are absolutely not the issues that people should really care about.  However, this continues to show us that they are so afraid to discuss the issues that really matter to the American people.  Just think, we only have about nine more months of this...so many questions, so many concerns, and we get no answers and there are no forseeable solutions!!!!

You know, I expected the claws to come out eventually between Barack and Hillary, but wow...I am really surprised at the venom which is being spewed.  They truly do eat their own....

Mr. Spitzer, Mr. Spitzer, Mr. Spitzer, the day before the most romantic holiday of the year, you are sharing your love with a hooker!!!  Are you kidding me?  This is just another indication of the sorry state our society is in today.  This man is not only married, but the father of three daughters.  This is the person that his daughters are suppose to pattern their future husbands after...let's hope not.  And for those of you that have no sympathy for the wife, lighten up!  This woman was blindsided by pathetic morals of her husband.  I just hope she is better then a particular senator that ignored her husband's very public infidelities.  I am not advocating divorce, but the amount of money that Spitzer spent on top of the act itself would be very difficult to forgive for any woman.

Okay, how in the world did we get on the discussion of our first kiss this morning...anyways, need to correct some information.  The first kiss I received from a guy that I really liked happened when I was 19.  My first kiss, I was 16 and was going up the canyon to watch submarine races with another couple after a school dance...we didn't have cellphones then, we had curfews!  Once the dance was over, the four of us had about 20 minutes before we had to be home.  I was quite disappointed when I found out that submarine races were a big, huge farce! 

Anyway, I will be going to Utah for Spring Break and am planning on bringing lots of photos from my high school and college days...should be interesting, so I will keep you posted!
