Nude Celeb Photo Hacking Scandal Raises Copyright Questions

(KFYI News) Jennifer Lawrence might not be able to get hacked nude photos off the internet easily.

All of the nude pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and others that aren't selfies may be harder to get removed from the Internet, because the celebs themselves didn't take the pictures.

Attorney Heather Buchta with Quarles & Brady LLP says the person who took the picture owns the copyright.

"The ownership of the copyright vests in the person that creates the work. In this case the person who took the photograph is the one that actually owns the copyright in the photograph," she said.

TMZ is reporting that one website that published the leaked photos won't take them down demanding proof that Lawrence owns the copyright or the name of the person who took the pictures.
