Former Arizona Senate President Steve Pierce is on the shortlist to replace embattled former state Representative David Stringer. Stringer resigned last week after a report accused him of paying two teen boys to have sex with him in the early eighties.
Steven Sensmeier and former Secretary of State Ken Bennett are also on the list. The Yavapai County Republican Committee will meet this week to select the appointee.
