(Phoenix, AZ) -- An incoming member of the Arizona Corporation Commission is calling for a review of the most recent rate hike granted to Arizona Public Service Company. Sandra Kennedy will not be sworn in until January 7th, but says she wants to make it clear now that she supports a call for a rate review by commissioners Bob Burns and Boyd Dunn. Their request, filed on Christmas Eve, cites customer complaints that the rate increase was much higher than expected, despite a consumer education program APS was supposed to implement. It says the review will determine if APS is earning more than intended from the rate hike.
