Residents complained, and the city of Scottsdale appears to have listened. It's updated its ordinance for bicycle and electric scooter roadside rentals. Assistant City Manager Brent Stockwell says much of the update concerns where the rentals can be parked.
Safety hasn't been a major problem. Stockwell said since the rental scooters arrived in Scottsdale this past May, they've been involved in 12 accidents out of about 130,000 rides.
