(Phoenix, AZ) -- Some Valley businesses are apparently among the targets from a wave of hoax bomb threats being reported around the country. The threats are coming in the form of a mass email where an unknown writer demands bitcoin in exchange for safety. Chandler Police responded to a bomb threat at a business in the 55-hundred block of West Chandler Boulevard this morning and determined there was no threat. At least one business in Phoenix received a threat. Investigators say the threats are not considered credible at this time, but are being taken seriously.
