AZ University Board Faces Discrimination Lawsuit

A professor at the University of Arizona is filing a 20-million dollar lawsuit against the Arizona Board of Regents claiming she's discriminated against because she is a woman.  The suit filed by Dr. Katrina Miranda says she has been a victim of pay discrimination along with other female colleagues in the College of Science.

Court paperwork shows from 2016 to 2018 Dr. Miranda was paid nine to $36,000 dollars less than her male counterparts.  The chemistry professor says she tried to talk to university leaders but was ignored.

The suit also claims women professors are subjected to humiliating and demeaning treatment by the University's male leadership.
