Another wrong way driver is taken into custody this morning. ADOT traffic cameras caught the vehicle driving the wrong direction headed toward oncoming vehicles on the Loop-101 near Southern.
A trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over when the driver turned the vehicle around and refused to pull over. The wrong way driver exited the freeway and the pursuit continued on surface streets until police were able to stop the vehicle near Mill and Baseline.
There are no details why the driver was going the wrong way or why he failed to stop. This is the 29th media reported wrong-way driver of 2018.
