The Double Standard Towards Farrakhan

Some of us stared in ugly awe as Bill Clinton shared the stage with 'Black Hitler' Louis Farrakhan at Aretha Franklin's funeral.

Only some of us. It was eerie.

Finally Clinton is taking heat for the spectacle. According to Fox News, Clinton “and Farrakhan were given positions of prominence on the dais Friday during Franklin’s funeral at the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Michigan.”

The pair sat between Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

“I know there was a relationship 30 years earlier between Louis Farrakhan and Aretha Franklin,” Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” over the weekend. “I don’t know if that relationship continued, or whether the family invited him, but I think any president should have said, ‘No. If you want me on the stage, you can’t have a bigot like Farrakhan sitting next to me.’”

Of course Alan Dershowitz would be the guy brave enough – with enough decency to call Bill out. Where is everyone else? Where is Tom Perez? Or even Jeff Flake? He seems to have something to say about everything, right?

No, if it had been Trump, Flake and his cronies would have been all over it. But it is Bill – one of them. You know, according to Flake, “decency.”
