(Phoenix, AZ) Governor Doug Ducey says he's on board with the President's plan to send troops to the border. The Governor released a statement saying Arizona "welcomes the deployment of National Guard to the border". Ducey said that Washington has ignored the issue of border security for too long. He added "for Arizona, it's all about public safety."
Ducey said the state will fully cooperate with the Trump administration and looks forward to working closely with federal officials on this issue. The Trump administration announced today that the President will sign a proclamation to send the National Guard to the border immediately.
