Phoenix Schools May Lose Resource Officers

A couple of schools in Phoenix may lose their resource officers.  The Wilson School District has two schools and covers about 13-hundred students from Pre-K to the 8th Grade.

Officials say the school resource officers were paid for with help from a grant using money from the feds and the city, but it's expiring at the end of the school year.

The district applied for the Safe Schools grant but was denied, despite the high crime in the area.

The district has now set up a GoFundMe page to help raise the 125-thousand dollars needed to keep the officers.
