Ban On Texting While Driving

Arizona lawmakers are getting close to banning texting while driving.  At the Capital building on Tuesday a group of people who have lost loved ones told their story of how people on cell phones were behind the tragic accidents.

The bill would make texting while driving a minor offense with a fine of only around 100 bucks, but supporters say its a start.

The bill passed a Senate committee and will now go to the full Senate.  If passed there, it will be handed over to the House.

Only Arizona and Montana have no full blown ban on texting while driving.
