Agencies Accused Of Non-Compliance In Voter Law

Several state agencies are accused of being outside the law.  The American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona says some state agencies are not complying with the National Voter Registration Act.

The Arizona Capitol Times reports an investigation found three state agencies are not in compliance with multiple sections of the law.   The violations center around voter registration.

The ACLU contends there is systematic non-compliance and disproportionate harm to voter participation by low-income groups and people of color.

The Arizona Secretary of State's office has 90 days to review the issues or the ACLU will initiate litigation.
