Mesa Cops OK After Deadly Vegas Shooting

Several Mesa police officers are okay after the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.  Officials with the Mesa Police Department say a handful of off-duty officers went to the Route 91 country music festival this past weekend in Las Vegas where a gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino.

One officer's face was grazed by a bullet. Sergeant Diana Williams of the Mesa Police Department said the officer is recovering.

Officials from police departments in Phoenix, Gilbert and Surprise said none of their staff were involved in the shooting.  The gunman killed over 50 people and wounded hundreds.
