Gilbert Makes Deal To Keep Tech Giant GoDaddy

Gilbert city leaders are making a deal to keep tech giant Go-Daddy.  The city will pay more than $830,000 over the next decade to keep GoDaddy's call center at Arizona Avenue and Guadalupe.

The company started looking at alternative sites fearing the current facility would need to expand to meet its needs.

The development deal has the city paying GoDaddy over $83,000 a year for employee job training.  In return, the company signed a 10-year lease and will invest 15-million on improvements to its call center.  The Gilbert Town Council approved the deal last month.
