He literally fights for what he believes in. My Fiancé Joshua joined the Marines when he was 17. He joined after witnessing 9/11 as a child and realizing he wanted to grow up and defend our country, and be a part of something bigger then himself. He is from Beloit, Wisconsin, and we met while he was stationed in Silverdale, Washington. After we were together for only 8 months he was told he would be stationed in California. He was heartbroken to know we would not be living so close so I moved to Arizona so I would be 4 hours away from him. Now you may think "whoa 4 hours away? That's a long drive! ". Well Joshua said "being 4 hours away can't keep me from you". Would you believe me if I told you he drives to see me every weekend? I didn't believe he would either, but he does an 8 hour round trip just to spend the weekends with me. It takes love to drive that much with the gas prices now a days, but he doesn't mind. We got news he was going to be deploying and after a tearful goodbye he deployed to Afghanistan last year for seven months even though it seemed like forever and after he returned home he proposed to me. My Fiancé is one amazing man, and one brave Marine. He put his life on the line, and he always puts everyone else before himself and he deserves more. He waited to fight for us, He waited to be with me, and I don't think he should have to wait to be honored for his service and bravery. He is the most loving, caring, selfless individual I or anyone will ever meet. He is one of those people that you will never forget after you meet them. He always has a warm smile on his face, and a positively, motivating, go getter attitude. He is proud to be an American and proud to fight for our country, and we should honor him for everything because, HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A UNITED STATES MARINE.
