My military hero is my great son, Sgt Scott Propheter, US Marine Corp (pronounced profiter) While achieving Eagle Scout, Scott also played 4 years of football at Arcadia High. Scott graduated May 28th 2003 and reported to boot camp on June 2, 20003. Since boot camp (Scott loved boot camp) Scott has done 3 tours in IRAQ, the first tour he was helping to guard in the Green Zone and dignitaries such as Colin Powell. His other two tours were spent hundreds on foot patrols in many areas of IRAQ. Scott has also been on an Asian float while stationed on a ship. They looked for pirates on the high seas. His most recent deployment to Africa was diverted to Haiti to help with earthquake relief and on to multiple countries to help train foreign military in anti-terrorist defense. His next tour will be in Afghanistan for 7 months. We are very proud of our military hero. Born and raised in the valley.
