Bradley M.

Brad grew up in a military family, his father serving in the military for 32 years. He knew he wanted to follow a military career at an early age and signed up for Civil Air Patrol while in High School. Attending Northern Arizona University, Brad earned an Air Force ROTC scholarship. He was initially selected for pilot training but lost his pilot slot because his eyesight was not 20/20 and the Air Force would not give him a waiver. He then was selected for and trained as a navigator and was selected to continue his training as an electronic warfare officer. Following his training , Brad was assigned to an airborne reconnaissance squadron stationed at Offutt AFB in Omaha. Brad has deployed to the middle east four times flying missions over both Afghanistan and Iraq. He is scheduled to deploy once again in September. After his return from his last deployment, Brad was selected as an instructor of new electronic warfare officers coming into his unit. He was assigned these duties while he was still a first lieutenant. This is highly unusual in that instructor duties are generally reserved for personnel with more rank and years of experience. He also completed his training to be rated as a "Mission Commander" for his reconnaissance flights. Cpt Maxon is a graduate of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale. Cpt Maxon is married to his college sweetheart Christie and they have two children.
