SJOGREN’S SYNDROME SUPPORTERS
TO MEET IN NOVEMBER
The Phoenix Area Support Group for Sjogren’s Syndrome will meet on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Starfire Clubhouse at the Scottsdale Country Club, 11500 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale.
The guest speaker will be Stephen Cohen, O.D. Dr. Cohen is past-president of the Arizona Optometric Association, and currently serves as co-chair of its legislative committee. He was chosen as the “Arizona Optometrist of the Year” by the Arizona Optometric Association and the following year he received the similar honor for the eleven western states.

All guests and members of the Sjogren’s Support Group will be presented with complimentary “piggy banks” to be used for collecting coins for presentation at the Sjogren’s fund raising “Walkabout” event scheduled for February 27, 2010 at the Paradise Valley Mall. Presenting the piggy banks at this November 14 meeting will be Vimal Petal, owner of the Advanced Health and Wellness Center (Time4Health.com), sponsor of the Sjogren’s “Piggy Bank Campaign” supporting more research to help find a cause and cure for Sjogren’s Syndrome autoimmune disease.
