Walk to Save Animals on Saturday, November 14, 2009
at Tempe Beach Park
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
For nearly 40 years, the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL)/Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has helped thousands of homeless animals find permanent homes. Many are saved from euthanasia.
On Saturday, November 14th, Walk to Save Animals: Form a Walk Team - Become a Sponsor - Save Lives.
Join the fun at Tempe Beach Park! In addition to 2K & 5K Pet Walks, there will be agility demonstrations, pet photos with Santa, raffles, food, and activities for the whole family! Make a day of it and help our four legged friends!
AAWL is the state's oldest and largest no-kill shelter, but it is much more than an animal shelter. AAWL also offers a variety of education services, including behavior help to owners, training classes and kids' and teens' programs. Its mission is not only to save animals, but to help ensure responsible and well-prepared owners, so that fewer pets will be surrendered, abandoned and ultimately euthanized. This is made possible with the help of our friends and partners who participate in the Annual Walk to Save Animals. A minimum $25 donation is requested to participate in the Walk, and all proceeds go to the AAWL / SPCA.
