Minority Home Values Hurt Most By Housing Bust

(Undated) -- Black and Hispanic homeowners got hit disproportionately hard with the rise and fall of home values during the housing bubble.

The numbers from market researcher Zillow show Hispanic communities had home values in their neighborhoods plunge an average of 46 percent from about mid-2007 to the end of 2011. Communities where blacks were the largest group saw values sink just over 32 percent during the same time.

Zillow also says that even though Hispanic communities were slammed, they've been the fastest to recover.
